Its been nuts for the past few days. I have had several calls for motor vehicle incidents, and today it has done nothing but snow and snow... I had a pampered chef party today and I had fun with it. Kids are outside building snowpeople. Its been a pretty good day.

Well here we are on the beginning of the storm of the new year. We have already had several accidents reported. It was a good drive home last night from school and knowing we didn't have to go in tonight was even better. I was cartooned tho today. My van is covered with snow and someone or ones drew pictures all over it.!.. It figures. pick on the hired help. =). Well off and running or sledding ....

New Shower unit at Base

Well another interesting day in the life of a medic.... I was stationed for 12 hours in Naples. No calls, but lots of action at the base. We are building a shower, de -con station for the medics and when we house people a showering area. It is about done. We just need to paint it now. we went and picked up paint at the hardware store. I had to leave for the day so I am not sure how much got painted but I figure tomorrow when I go in it will be wanting another coat. =). We got a new bird feeder also for the birds.

Death of a mouse

There we were sitting, conversing on life, I saw from the corner of my eye a little head pop up and down from the edge of the road, I asked my friend if he saw it and he said yes. It was a mouse and it was alive. Just as we spoke a vehicle cut the curve and there was mouse all around.. His heart was glued to a good year headed south on 21. Poor little thing.. So much for saving it a scrap of pizza. =).

Naples NY Happenings

Well it was a cold start to this Monday morning.
All the ambulances were tucked snuggly in the bays. All is as it should be currently for my day here at the ambulance base. Had the normal morning visitors, and went to breakfast. Right now the sun is out but it is bitter cold with some wind. I don't think my friend John is going to be flying today because of that wind. He has a Piper cub that he restored. He flew around the states this past year. He is very interesting to talk to about his flying adventures.

Sundays adventure

Today we decided to go out and find something different to spend time with the children with.
We found a roller rink in Geneva NY. It was easy to find and very reasonable to get in. Ashley took right off like a pro. Matthew clung to the wall as did I. My husband of course a pro at most things started around and around. Matt and I hugged the wall for dear life while Ashley and Brian continued around and around. Matt quit after 2 walls around, and I kept going for 5 laps. It has been 22 years since I had skates on my feet. I think I like the flat ground just fine. I do want to go to this rink again. and maybe perhaps someday I will become a better skater.
